August 2nd 2024, Lions U19 vs Akishima Aviators U19

This time Timmy was on the money with the toss, which he won and elected to bat. 

 

Timmy (77) and Eric (28) got us off to a great start with the pair playing some lovely flowing strokes through the covers for 4. With the score at 1/101, Eric was out LBW and Taiga strode to the wicket, smashing 48 off 31. Timmy also opened up, smashing the bowlers all over the park. After our allotted 18 overs, the Lions had amassed 183!

 

The Akishima team then came into bat with Shugo getting them off to a cracking start. Timmy was bowling on the spot and took a wicket (1/19 off 3) but the Akishima batters started to settle and were looking dangerous. Timmy then asked young Sam to work some magic for the Lions and he did, promptly bowling 2 out in 2 balls. Two matches in a row when Sam “always on a hat trick” Robinson has come to the rescue. After that, the result was never in doubt with our young stars Mantra and Pratyush also bowling well, supported by Nived and Eric. Akishima all out for 130.
