Taiga won the toss and elected to bat. We were off to a good start but Taiga flirted with one outside off and was caught behind and Timmy was bowled out in the same over. We were at 2/20 and in trouble. Kaede, Juto, Eric and Nived all got a start but we were all out for 89.
The pressure was on the boys to bowl and field like never before, and they did the team proud! We finally also found our voices and there was so much support on the field that GIIS were struggling. Timmy cleaned bowled one of the under 15s best batsman and we were in with a chance. The GIIS wickets were falling, but alas, 89 runs was not enough and GIIS came out on top.
We wave Timmy and Taiga off now as this was their last season for the under 15s. Well done boys! Some great memories.
