Jun 17th, Lions U15 vs Serendib U15

This match was the Lions 5th game of the season, and they were facing a new Serendib side playing their first match in what would become a one sided competition.

The Lions won the toss and elected to Bat first. Taiga opened with Juto, both putting in excellent performances, Taiga retiring once reaching his maximum ball and score limit and Juto falling to an unfortunate runout on 34 by M. Aakif. Taiga would return later in the innings, to end on an excellent 55 not out. Nived also put up a spirited batting performance, getting 16 from 24 balls, before being caught by. Aazim from a ball bowled by F. Aakif. Unfortunately the Serendib bowling caused the other Lions batters issues, with a total of 4 runs from 6 of the other players.

When Serendib came into bat, it was the turn of the Lions bowlers to take apart Serendib`s batting order. Both Serendib`s openers were taken by Sam (one bowled clean, the other caught by Taiga) with Sam also taking a third wicket later in the innings. Leo also took three wickets, Taiga 2 and Juto one. In total Serendib scored 90 off of just over 100 balls, but only 40 of these came from the bat, the Lions giving too many extras.
