September 7th 2024, Lions U15 vs KKR U15
The Lions were firing on all cylinders today and dominated KKR.
The Lions went into bat first and devastated the KKR attack. Pratyush leading the charge with a cracking 36 off 12 balls with two huge sixes! Juto rotated the strike and continued to score very consistently with 30 off 26 with three 4s and was joined by Sam who also joined in the 6 festival, cracking 35 off 24 with two sixes! After Sam and Juto retired, Mantra was unfortunately run out but Tasuku went on the attack with 22 off 19 with four 4s, well supported by Jamie, with 8 off 11 and one 4. Fantastic team effort.
After our 15 overs the Lions were 1/161!
The KKR openers struggled and scoring was slow but they were helped by the Lions old enemy, extras.
Alfie opened the bowling attack and was right on target as always (0/10 off 2) and Jamie’s looping leggies saw the first wicket fall (1/13 off 3). Jay was as elusive as ever and Tom also contributed to the sustained pressure on KKR. Something had to give and Mantra (3/2 off 3) took the ball which saw two quick wickets fall. Great to see Tatsuki get his first over and the KKR innings was shut down by Sam (0/5 off 2), Juto (0/6 off 1) and Pratyush 0/6 off 2). Extras top scored for KKR with 43 runs.
Great to notch up another win and see the boys really gel as a team. So proud to see all the boys fire!
